Katie Zuniga is the evening weather anchor for Newschannel 21 in Bend, Oregon.
She is an outdoor adventurer, crafty latte lover and a meteorology student at Mississippi State University. She’s an Oregon native who has lived all over the world. She married her high school sweetheart and is the proud mother of two.
Before her career shift to journalism, Katie started and ran a wedding and event business for more than 10 years. She became interested in writing and telling stories while being a regular guest on Portland, Oregon morning news show. Katie returned to school for journalism which led to working at KTVZ and the beginning of her career as a meteorologist.
It didn’t take Katie a long time to realize, she loves weather!
